It is hard to compress all the beauty of a country in a single article, but we’re leaving room for your desire to visit Malta and write down your ideas in your travel diary as you please. We’re just offering a few landmarks that you should check in your visit:

1. Valletta

Valetta

What better way to start your journey through Malta than by visiting the capital of the island? It is of a special beauty and it’s worth setting a few hours aside to walk along its narrow streets, filled with luxury stores, refined restaurants, as well as traditional places and fairy tale decorations with splendid architectures. There’s a lot to visit here, but you can stop by St. Paul’s Cathedral, The Grandmaster’s Palace, the Museum of Toys, the Palace of the Order of Malta, and the National Museum of War.

2. Mdina

Mdina

If you liked Valletta, Mdina will definitely make you come back to Malta. It is said to be the most beautiful Maltese city, and if you’re interested in history and medieval buildings, you will surely agree. Mdina is a still inhabited citadel, which impresses from the very beginning, when you step into a fairy tale land through the imposing entrance gate. You will be welcomed by buildings with colourful doors and balconies, scented flowers and, of course, a lot of history. It is worth visiting St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Cathedral Museum and the Palazzo Depiro Mdina, the ticket price being 5 euro.

3. Saint Julians

We’re moving on to the modern side of the island. Saint Julians is the place to have fun in Malta. This is where you find the coolest bars, shopping areas, modern hotels and beaches. It is the place where you want to spend your holiday by the sea, as it is close to the urban commotion. Far from banners and modern building fronts, the historic aspect of Malta is suddenly concealed. A walk with your loved one along the coast is one of the romantic things you should do in Malta.
