The story of the pyjamas is a special one, although these clothes occupy a pretty common place in our wardrobe. It all began centuries ago in India, when the British colonist noticed the well-known peijamah (wide and comfy trousers tied around the waist) that the inhabitants wore. Pyjamas have started many trends in fashion, the French designer Paul Poiret being the one who created such a collection in the early 1900s with which you could go out in public. Also, in the early 1920s, Coco Chanel introduced the notion of pyjama for the first time. It was made of satin, composed of a blouse and a pair of trousers, making thousands of women to give up the traditional nightgowns. Over the years, they have also been worn on the beach, as luxury clothing.
