Art Safari Bucharest returns with the fifth edition, which will be held this spring, from 11th to 20th May in George Enescu Square from Bucharest. Taking into consideration its structural, conceptual point of view and, of course, its size, the event is a unique cultural one in Romania and thanks to it, our country is positioned among the major cultural cities of the world.
The art lovers are awaited at the event that is made as a temporary museum with a series of exhibitions that should not be missed:
"Art on Stage" Central Pavilion, curator Hervé Mikaeloff – The exhibition will create a bridge between the past, the present and the future, bringing together many generations of contemporary artists and different artistic practices of the 21st century.
"Natural-Cultural" Museum Pavilion, curator Alina Șerban – Celebrating 100 years of Romanian art, the exhibition reflects a mix of spirituality, scientific theories, philosophy, ethnography and art.
"50 Impressionist painters from the BCR collection" – BCR has collected, over time, the values of the artistic creation from the Romanian cultural heritage and will exhibit at Art Safari a part of the Romanian paintings it owns.
"Something else about Ceaușescu" – Art Safari also hosts an exhibition of valuable artistic works from the Ceaușescu collection brought from the Spring Palace, visitors being able to discover the former dictator’s taste in art.
Besides these exhibition platforms, Art Safari Bucharest also invites the audience to the International Program, where they can see the work of several international artists and take part in the Art Talks program, dedicated to discussions about art. Children are not left aside – they are expected to participate in the Art Safari Kids educational program, where they can develop their creative skills in art workshops. For both Art Talks and Art Safari Kids, it is necessary to register on www.artsafari.ro in the sections dedicated to the workshops.
The presale tickets with a 50% discount can be purchased until 10th May on tickets.artsafari.ro. The price for one day starts from 25 lei and the subscription for the whole event is 45 lei.
