Do you love Brașov and do you like running outdoors? Then you shouldn’t miss the 5th edition of Brașov International Marathon, which will be held on 25 and 26 May 2019.

According to The Culture Trip, Brașov International Marathon is one of the top 20 marathons in the world when it comes to the landscape, as its trail includes Brașov and its surroundings. Thus, you will be able to enjoy breath-taking landscapes and the well-known tourist and historic attractions.

Everyone is welcome at this event, from 6-year-old children to persons over the age of 90! There are 6 types of races that participants can choose from: the 42 km marathon, the 21 km half‑marathon, the 10.7 km race, the popular 5.7 km race (organised for charity purposes, as it is non-competitive and not timed), team run 4 x 10.7 km, and the special races for children aged between 6 and 14.

The participation fees for this event are the following:

  • 180 lei/person for 42 km marathon

  • 150 lei/person for 21 km half‑marathon

  • 360 lei for team run

  • 120 lei/person for the 10 km race

  • 60 lei/person for the 5.7 km race

  • 60 lei/person for the 2.5 km race

If you want to sign up for one of these races, you should hurry, because online registration ends on 15 May! After this date, organisers will publish the number of remaining seats available, and then you can only sign up at Sport Expo.
