Christmas is one of the celebrations we want to spend with family and friends, surrounded by gifts and goodies. Although this period makes us more nostalgic, we often forget that we can make a child or an old person happy by donating things that we no longer use.
We don’t encourage this to happen only during Christmas, but throughout the year, because underprivileged people need our constant help.
If you don’t know how and where you can do this, we have prepared for you a list with some places and campaigns that will be running this month and not only. Here are the places where dreams can and will become reality.

The gift in the shoe box is an attempt, year after year, to make the lives of poor children more beautiful. Each box you will donate will address to a child whose age is between 2 – 18 years, a girl or a boy. More details about what this may contain can be found on www.shoebox.ro. Shoebox locations can be accessed on www.shoebox.ro, and keep in mind that you can donate between 1-15 December 2017.

Benefacto – www.benefacto.ro
Benefacto has fulfilled, for 6 years in a row, the Christmas wishes of the children from Cehu Silvanei placement center, with the help of generous people. You can choose to donate some money or to purchase the desire product. For that, you can check the wish list at www.benefacto.ro. The campaign’s end date is 18th December 2017.

The ProVita Association is the one that aims to provide shelter and help all abandoned children, homeless mothers, future mums and the elderly people from the social center from the Valea Plopului and Valea Screzii. So, follow the events that will be announced on the Facebook account Voluntari Provita (Valea Plopului) and offer these people a better Christmas!

Cristiana Hurdubaia, the organizer of the campaign Copacul cu fapte bune, awaits you on 16th December 2017 from 12 PM to 3 PM to participate in the charity campaign to help homeless people. Cristiana carries out such actions throughout the year and the list of the centers where you can donate is available on www.hurdubaia.ro.

Containerele Albe (White Containers) – www.primariasector1.ro
Over the past few months, the City Hall of the 1st district has initiated a project in which over 22 garbage collecting containers were placed in 15 parks in the 1st district for needy people. The Local Administration of the 1st district encourages citizens to donate clean clothes, which can be packed with content information before being placed in the container.
So, don’t forget, the campaigns we have presented to you in this article are just a small part of the charitable events that are taking place throughout the year!
