Starting from the end of January, Transilvania Bank’s customers can pay by smartphone at all contactless POSs of merchants in the country and abroad, using the first bank wallet in Romania.
The BT Pay application will help the Transilvania Bank’s customers to put in digital format all the credit and debit cards they have at this bank. This app is available on both IOS and Android smartphones.

Being the first bank wallet in Romania to enable contactless payment, it is based on Mastercard Digital Enablement Service payment and Visa Token Service. If the amount you have to pay is larger than 100 lei, then you need an additional login.
For contactless payments, the smartphone must be equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC). Currently, Apple doesn’t allow this type of payments in Romania because the Apple Pay service has not been launched in our country yet. Transilvania Bank is helping the iPhone owners with a sticker that can be glued directly to the phone. This allows the iPhone users to make the payment exactly like with an Android smartphone.
With the help of BT Pay, you will be able to transfer money directly from the phone to another account or transfer money between your own accounts. Also, you can see, in real time, the history of your own transactions and also the current account balance.
Now paying at any merchant is easier! With just one touch of the phone on the contactless POS, your bill is paid without too much effort. For more information about BT app and how to use it, pay a visit to www.bancatransilvania.ro.
