With a history of over 5000 years, beer is one of the world’s oldest beverages. Thus, we can say that every ancient culture was consuming beer. Obviously, the beer from that period was not prepared like the one of today, because at the beginning of the 1200s a law about the purity of beer was passed on – it states that beer must contain only water, barley, hops and yeast. Since then things have changed and different types of beer have appeared on the market, ranging from simple ones to those with unique flavours.
