Each of us wishes the new year to be even better than the one that just ended, so, on the New Year’s Eve you cannot overlook the little superstitions that are supposed to bring you abundance, health and joy.

Surely, there are countless superstitions you have to respect on New Year’s Eve, but we present you the most common ones:

1. Red brings you luck!

For a lucky year, it is important that at midnight, at the turn of the new year, to wear one red item. Even if we talk about underwear, a bow tie, a scarf or other accessory or clothing item, it is necessary that those are included in your outfit.

2. White Grapes – a must to fulfill your wishes

At the turn of the new year, before the clock shows 12:00 AM, it is important to eat 12 white pieces of grape and put a wish for each of them, so the new year will be a sweet one that will fulfill all your wishes.. 

3. Eternal love with just a kiss under the mistletoe!

Among the most important things you must have in your house when it comes to New Year’s Eve is the mistletoe. Tradition says that those who will kiss under the mistletoe at midnight will love each other their whole life. You can buy mistletoe from flower shops and markets.

4. For a reach year drink champagne!

It is important that the countdown until 2018 to catch you with a glass of champagne in your hand, a glass that you have to empty to the bottom to have a year full of achievements.

5. Get rid of the problems of the new year by eating fish

This superstition tells us that if we consume fish on the first day of the next year, we will slip through the problems of the new year exactly as a fish slides through the swirling waves.

But the superstition doesn’t stop here! We present you below other superstitions that don’t cost you anything.

It is necessary that on 31st December, before midnight, each of us has as much money as possible in his pocket, so that the new year will be generous with you.

The other two superstitions you need to keep in mind on the first day of the new year are that the first person who will enter your house should be a brunette man, because he will bring you luck and, also, to enhance the luck of 2018 it is recommended that on 1st January to not throw away the garbage.
