This year marks the 60th anniversary of the first edition of the “George Enescu International Contest”, which has become, over the time, a real launch pad for international classical artists.

This year’s edition will be opened by the only triple concert in the Romanian musical literature, supported by laureates of the competition from 2014: the violinist Ștefan Tara, the pianist Josu de Solaun and the cellist Eun-Son Hong. The composition belongs to Paul Constantinescu and will be performed under the stick of the conductor Gabriel Bebeșla at the Romanian Athenaeum.

Throughout the event, from 1st to 23rd September, 400 young musicians from 46 countries across 5 continents will play their instruments.  So, if you want to listen to the live sessions of these talented youngsters, you can buy your tickets from www.festivalenescu.ro or from www.eventim.ro. The price for each ticket starts from 40 lei and varies according to the concert and the ticket category.

Also, if you choose to go to such an event, your apparel will play an extremely important role – it should be formal or at least semi-formal. It is recommended to wear a discreet and delicate fragrance.
