There are a few questions whose answers seem the most difficult choices in the world. "What movie should we watch?" is one of them, especially in the summer days. Nobody wants to spend almost two hours at the cinema, stuck in a chair and forced to watch a boring action. So, I usually choose the safe option – a relaxing comedy with a good distribution. However, this week, I wanted to risk and I chose a movie that did not promise too much, but I heard interesting things about it.

"Adrift" presents an impressive story inspired by real facts that teaches us about love and loss in all their ways. The movie is based on the book of the protagonist Tami Oldham, "The Red Sky in Mourning: A True Story of Love, Loss and Survival at Sea", which, unfortunately, cannot be found in Romania, but you can buy it from www.amazon.com.

I have to admit, I was a bit sceptical in the beginning, thinking that I was going to see a classic story with little action and a predictable ending. The trailer can easily fool you, so maybe it will be a good idea not to watch it. But if you did it, do not let yourself influenced by it – the story of the movie will certainly surprise you!

The director Baltasar Kormákur presents an incredible real story from 1983, shown on two directions that intertwine and offer you an unexpected ending – the moment the two protagonists meet and the shipwreck. The narrative story begins with the love story of Richard Sharp (Sam Claflin) and Tami Oldham (Shailene Woodley). Both of them love to travel and, especially, navigate, so they sail into the most beautiful adventure on the waves of love, discovering the pleasure and the beauty of traveling together. They doubtfully accept to deliver a yacht from Tahiti to San Diego without suspecting that they will sail directly towards one of the most catastrophic hurricanes in history. After the storm, a real game of survival begins, in which Tami, physically and mentally afflicted, is making superhuman efforts to protect Richard, who is seriously injured, and to save the ruined ship that is their only escape. The story shows you an impressive series of emotions, being not only a drama, but also a romantic, action and adventure movie.

The film editing is impressive, but the most appreciated thing about the movie is the end that will certainly surprise you. From this point of view, the script is a plus. Even for the end of the movie, it's worth going to the cinema. Hurry up, the movie will run until 23rd of August at Cinema City and Happy Cinema! More information about the program and tickets can be found on cinemacity.ro and www.happycinema.ro.

For example, at Cinema City, an adult will pay 23.50 lei (the movie is only available in 2D version).

I kindly recommend you to leave your worries at the entrance and enjoy a bag of popcorn and a few good minutes when you will smile, live intensely the suspense of survival and tear in front of the protagonists` hopelessness. And after the movie, do not forget to tell us your opinion!
