The Humanitas Publishing House and the French Institute from Bucharest invite you on 26th June 2018, starting from 7 PM, at the Humanitas Bookstore from Cișmigiu, at the launch of the novel “The President’s Hat” where the author of the book, Antoine Laurain, will be present.

Being translated into over 15 languages, the novel “The President’s Hat” (Chapeau de Mitterrand) was screened in 2014 by Robin Davis, receiving many nominations in different world charts.

The President’s Hat (“Pălăria Președintelui”) is a humorous novel in which the action takes place at the end of the year 1986, starring a hat with exceptional powers, such as its first owner, François Mitterrand. Being forgotten on the table in a restaurant, it comes to the hand of a regular accountant who will radically change his life. Forgotten in the luggage net of a train, the hat reaches Fanny Marquant which gives her the courage to leave her lover. All of these are just a small part of the President’s Hat trip that the author invites you to discover.
