Băneasa Race opens its gates in 2018 with its spring edition. Spring Edition 2018 will be held on 15 April, and the registration period has already begun on baneasarace.ro. The event is organised by the association Trăiesc Sănătos, in partnership with Băneasa Shopping City.

This year, the organisers have proposed a new concept, which blends tradition and evolution. The rebranding has brought sports enthusiasts a new series of Băneasa Race events, which aim to be held in three seasons: in spring, autumn and winter. The running trails will be on the footpaths in the forests Băneasa and Tunari, near Bucharest, and are dedicated to those for whom running is a hobby, and to those who can be called professionals alike. Participants can choose from two trails, and the registration fee varies according to the number of persons registered when you sign up:

• Cross country race (10.5 km) – Fee starting at 90 lei;
• Half-marathon (21 km) – Fee starting at 90 lei.

Each person who wants to participate in one of the two trails will receive a kit consisting of: Tehnic Pro-Touch T-shirt, a Finisher medal, a 20% discount voucher for Intersport, a Powerbar product and a customised competition number. In addition, participants will be able to revitalise and hydrate themselves at the special points throughout the trail, there is a real-time online ranking, specialised medical services, a raffle with prizes and, of course, prizes for those who climb on the podium. Winners will receive prizes up to the 5th place in cross country race, and the 8th place in half-marathon, and the amounts offered can reach 700 lei.

If you like sport and a healthy lifestyle, but, above all, if you love cross country races, you must write down the date of 15 April in your agenda. If you don’t manage to register for the spring edition of Băneasa Race, don’t even think about missing the editions in this autumn and winter!
