Preferred by most people, both women and men, rose wines are some of the most appreciated wines on the entire Romanian territory, although this was very unlikely two decades ago.

Considered one of the cheapest wines because of its preparation method, it has started to climb up the wine hierarchy, reaching the finest wines only after the grapes fermentation process used for its production has been made known to everyone.

Each of us will be surprised to learn that rose wine is made from the same black grapes as those used in red wine, but the colour of the red wine is given by the grape’s skin, because of the pigments it releases.

In the process of making rose wine, the skins are not allowed to ferment together with the grape juice for several weeks, as in the case of the red wine, but only for a few days or even hours. Thus, depending on the process, the manufacturer assumes full control overthe color of the wine.
