Do you like to travel, but you haven’t seen a lot of areas from your country? We recommend for this period to make a trip to Iași, a city full of history and national importance. Being the former capital of Moldova between 1564 and 1918, it hides a lot of places filled with history, opened as tourist attractions to all those who want to admire them.

The National Museum Complex „Moldova” Iași has its central office in the Palace of Culture in Iași where are 4 museums:
- The Museum of History of Moldova
This museum, as its name suggests, aims to present Moldova from its beginning to the present days. The full ticket price is 16 lei for an adult.
- The Museum of Science and Technology „Ștefan Procopiu”
The museum brings together over 11000 objects of a great significance to the history of sound rendition, photographic and cinematographic techniques, communications, the development of computer techniques and objects of memorial value. The price of an full ticket to visit the museum is 12 lei for an adult.
- The Art Museum
Starting with only 12 works of art, paintings from the Last Marismas collection, the Art Museum of Iași currently has over 10000 art works: paintings, graphics and sculptures presented to the general public. The entrance fee for an adult is 16 lei.
- Ethnographic Museum of Moldova
Through its scientific competence, the Ethnographic Museum of Moldova presents the ethnographic history of this region, the research topics covering the following fields: agriculture, animal husbandry, crafts, traditional clothing etc. The ticket price is 12 lei.
2. Ion Creangă’s House – 4 Simion Bărnuţiu Street

Ion Creangă’s House hosts the exhibition about the life and works of the author, being a part of “Childhood memories” and “The Stories”, but also of his friendship with Mihai Eminescu, who lived here as a tenant. The ticket price for visiting the house is 7 lei.
3. Botanical Garden Iași – www.botanica.uaic.ro – 7 Dumbrava Roșie Street

The Botanical Garden Iași was founded in 1856, being the first Romanian botanical garden and the largest in the country, hosting over 8368 vegetal taxa on an area of 89.55 hectares. The full ticket price is 5 lei.

Built in the 19th century, the Mitropolitan Cathedral houses moments of spiritual joy that marked this cathedral. In 1889, the relics of St. Parascheva were placed in the monastery. You'll also find some of the relics of St. Mc. Gheorghe.
At the Cathedral, you will find the Mitropolitan Museum, which is unique for its location, and also for the autonomy of its rooms.
5. Eminescu's Linden tree – Copou Park, Carol I Boulevard

If you love Eminescu's poems and you want to visit the place where he wrote some of his works, then you can visit the famous linden tree from Copou Park. It is one of the most important trees on the territory of Romania, its age being about 458 years.
Also, there are other tourist attractions in Iași, which are at least as interesting as the ones presented by us. So, if you spend more time in this wonderful city, we advise you to visit as many of them as possible!
