The Humanitas Bookstore from Cișmigiu (38 Regina Elisabeta Boulevard) awaits you on 21st May with a new story to discover. Starting from 7 PM, “The Essex Serpent” by Sarah Perry will reveal the mysteries of love and the forms it can take.

After the death of her husband, Cora Seaborne moves to Colchester where everyone rumors that the mythical Serpent of Essex has made its appearance. Being passionate about the field of natural science, Cora believes that this magical creature is just an undiscovered species of snake. The vicar of the local parish, William Ransone, believes that rumors come from the lack of people’s faith. However, although there are many differences between him and Cora, a close affinity will be created between them that will lead to the elucidation of the mystery of the Essex Serpent.
